Joining the CHSA is challenging. Every member is required to pass the initial audit conducted by our highly qualified Independent Inspector before being allowed to join.

It guarantees CHSA members are amongst the very best in the industry.

During the initial audit they are required to prove they conform with the requirements specified in the relevant Accreditation Scheme and our Code of Practice.

Buy from a CHSA member to guarantee your supplier:

  • Trades ethically and sustainably;
  • Provides quality, fit for purpose products; and
  • Makes sure what’s on the box is what’s in the box.

Our commitment to standards began in 1997 with the launch of our first Accreditation Scheme. We have since added more well-respected Accreditation Schemes and in 2020 achieved our strategic aim of every member of the Association being Accredited.

The combination of our Accreditation Schemes and rigorous Code of Practice means every product offered for sale by a CHSA member meets the specification of the relevant Accreditation Scheme and is audited accordingly by our Independent Inspector.
