Dan Walker to host CHSA’s Annual Golf Day

_MG_0119One of the highlights of the cleaning industry calendar, the Cleaning & Hygiene Suppliers’ Association’s (CHSA) annual Golf Day is taking place at Oulton Hall in Yorkshire on 15 September.

Dan Walker, presenter of Football Focus, BBC Breakfast and a daily show on Radio 5 Live called Afternoon Edition, is hosting the Awards Dinner in the evening.

This year, as well as the excitement of the Stableford Pro-Am tournament and the personal challenge of a tough course there is plenty for non-golfers.  The day will kick off with the big break challenge – golfers and non-golfers alike can test their aim, hitting a ball at a huge pane of glass.  Non-golfers can take part in a fun hour of golf, with everything from a little light tuition to crazy golf and, of course, there are wonderful spa treatments.  Everyone is invited – partners, clients, suppliers, employees.

“Our golf day is always a popular fixture in the calendar,” said Shaun Chatterton, CHSA Council member and the driving force behind the Golf Day, “and this year we’ve opened the doors wider to make it bigger than ever!

“It’s already a sell-out but if you haven’t booked yet get in touch with our Secretary, Linda Belcher (secretary@chsa.co.uk).  We always try to make room if we can and it might be that we can squeeze in another team!”

The CHSA’s Golf Day always generates a great deal for charity.  After raising more than ever at the Annual Gala Ball, £8,300, the ambition is to maintain that record and raise an extraordinary amount for the Chairman’s Charity, Helping Treat Cancer Together.  The Helping Treat Cancer Together Committee helps cancer patients with treatment costs the NHS will not fund where the patient’s doctors believe there is a reasonable chance the treatment will provide a cure, prolong life expectancy or improve quality of life.
