The nearly £10,000 raised through the generosity of CHSA members has been donated to the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), which will use it to record unabridged audiobooks for RNIB’s Talking Books Library.
RNIB offers practical and emotional support to blind and partially sighted people, helping them and their families face the future with confidence. It is estimated there are more than two million people in the UK today who are affected by sight loss. “Our audiobooks, which are free of charge to blind and partially sighted people, can be a lifeline,” said Harry Meade, RNIB Corporate Partnerships Manager. “The Trustees and staff at RNIB convey their thanks and appreciation for the CHSA’s continued support of our work with blind and partially sighted people of all ages.”
RNIB is the CHSA Chairman’s Charity.
